Email variables make it easy for you to make custom emails using AXOMO. AXOMO provides basic email templates for your use. If you would like to alter any of these, you’re welcome to do so. If you’re altering an email, AXOMO made it easy to add custom information without all the work by using our email variables. You can get to the email variables by going to your Admin Panel > Customize > Email Variables.
When you’re on the email variables page you will see 3 different sections. Variables, Description and Property/Value.
The variable is what you will put into the code. For example, if you want to display a budget Amount in your email so your employees know how much is left in their budget, you would go into the body of the code (Customize > Email Templates), find the place you would like this budget to display and put the variable in that spot. The variable must be listed exactly how it’s shown in order for this to work. Please note, that you do need the squiggly lines in-front and at the end of the variable. (~~budgetAmount~~) We do use camel case for our variables. Meaning the first word is lower case, and the second word is upper case.
The description describes what the variable will do if you put it into your email template.
Depending on if the variable has a property or value, it will show up in this section. Some values might not show up because the information needs to be updated constantly because of the value changing. Values that don’t change, like URL links, will be displayed in the value category.
